1 tbsp butter
2 small garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp flour
1-1/3 cups fat-free milk
2 tbsp light cream cheese
1 cups (3 oz) finely shredded parmesan cheese, divided
4 cups hot cooked fettuccine (about 8 ounces uncooked pasta), cooked without salt or fat
2 tsp chopped parsley fresh ground black pepper

Directions:

Melt butter in a suacepan over medium heat. Add garlic; saute 1 minute. Stir in flour. Gradually add milk, stirring with a whisk until blended. Cook 8 minutes or until thick and bubbly, stirring constantly. Add 1 cup parmesan cheese, stirring constantly until cheese melts.
Pour over fettuccine; toss well to coat. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, parsley, and pepper.
Serve immediately.
