2 cans (16-oz. each) yellow cling sliced peaches, drained
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 egg
1/2 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Grease a 13x9 in. pan. Place peaches in bottom of pan and sprinkle with nutmeg.

Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt, then set aside. Combine butter, egg and milk. Stir in sifted dry ingredients and mix well. Spoon batter evenly over peaches. Bake at 400º for 30 minutes.

Serve warm or cold with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
