3/4 cup shortning
1/3 cup sugar
2 egg yolks
1/ 1/2 cup flour
1 jar jam (strawberry-raspberry??)

2 eggs whites
2 cups sugar
1 cup finely chopped nuts (can leave these out if you are not a nut person)

Preheat oven to 350ºBeat together short, sugar, egg yolks - add flour - stir until well blended.
Spread mixture in an ungreased baking dish 13x9

Bake 15 min at 350º

Remove from oven and spread with jam.

Beat egg whites until stiff, beat in sugar and then gradually fold in nuts.
Spread on jam

Bake 25 min.
