Batter:
1 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp. cocoa
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. oil or margarine, melted

Topping:
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1 3/4 cup hot water

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 F. Mix the first 5 ingredients together. Add milk, oil and vanilla; mix until smooth. Pour into a 9 inch square pan. Mix brown sugar and second amount of cocoa together. Sprinkle over batter. Pour hot water over entire batter. Bake for about 45 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream.
