½ of large bag of dried chilies stems and seeds removed
4 teaspoons chicken base
1 tablespoon cumin
¾ tablespoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons paprika

Directions:
Directions:
In large bowl, poor enough water over the chilies to cover. Let soak for about 45 minutes. Once chilies are soft, purée in a blender with some of the pepper water, enough to cover them in the blender. reserve the remaining pepper water if your sauce turns out too thick you can pour in some water to thin it.

Add the spices to the puréed peppers. Put 2 tablespoons oil in heavy pan. When it is hot put the puréed peppers and salt. Cook until thick at least 15 to 20 minutes.
