3 beaten eggs
1 ½ cup sugar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
½ teaspoon nutmeg
½ cup melted butter
2 ¾ cup whipping cream
4 cups cubed French bread
¾ cups raisins (optional)



Vanilla Sauce:
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon flour
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter
one large egg
a dash of nutmeg
one ¼ cup cream
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix bread pudding ingredients well. Put in buttered cake pan, bake at 375° for 25 minutes then cover with foil and bake an additional 25 minutes.

For Vanilla Sauce, combine ingredients except vanilla and cook in saucepan over medium heat until thick. Then add vanilla.
