2 1/2 c. scalded milk
1/3 c. cornstarch
1 c. sugar
pinch of salt
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
sliced bananas
Vanilla wafers or graham crackers

Directions:
Directions:
Combine milk, cornstarch, sugar and salt, stirring constantly. Add eggs and cook until thick. Remove from heat and add vanilla and i T. butter. Let cool. Alternate layers of bananas, custard and wafers/graham crackers in a shallow bowl.

Not many people seem to make banana pudding from scratch anymore. Dorothy Millard and Chrystelle Ray both did and it is certainly worth the effort and tastes so delicious.
