3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 T. butter
1 c. corn syrup
3 eggs, well beaten
Dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
1 9 in. unbaked pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Blend brown sugar with butter. Add remaining ingredients except pecans. Mix and then add pecans. Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake at 450º for 10 minutes; reduce heat to 350º and bake for 30-35 minutes or until pie is set.

Dorothy found this recipe in a magazine and it had been submitted by Ruth Hooks from NY. Charles will tell you that Dorothy's pecan pie is the best he has ever eaten and that is so true.
