1 Large Butternut squash
1- 1/2 Cup Sweet onions or shallots
3-4 Cups Vegetable Broth or Chicken
1 Celery Stalk Chopped
1 Medium Carrot Chopped
2 Cloves garlic (Mince)
Coconut oil garlic flavored
1 Tsp Salt
1/8 Tsp Pepper
2 Sprigs Fresh Thyme
1/8 Tsp Cinnamon
1/8 Tsp Nutmeg
Bacon for garnish
Paprika for spice
Cayenne for spice

1 butternut squash
Take seeds out
Cut in Half, cover with olive oil (I used garlic coconut oil) salt and pepper
Bake @ 325º 40-60 minutes or until soft. Let it cool then scrape it into blender to smooth out.
I saute thyme sweet onions (or Shallots) chopped celery, carrots until soft put it into blender and add to pot with chicken broth (sometimes I will add a bit of minced garlic)
Pour into Pot heat to boil add salt pepper nutmeg (just a pinch), Cinnamon (just a pinch) garlic powder to taste
If you want a little spice add paprika and cayenne pepper
If it becomes too thin you can add heavy cream to it also
Add bacon for garnish
