Ingredients:
9 eggs
2 cups sugar
4 cups whipping cream
1/2 bottle of bourbon (1/5- or more to suit taste)

Directions:
Directions:
Separate eggs. Beat yolks. Gradually add sugar. Continue to beat until thick & pale in color. To this add bourbon and continue beating. Strain and add the whipped cream. Then add the beaten egg whites. Serve with a dash of nutmeg. If too thick add more bourbon or milk.

I've never needed to strain the milk mixture. Not sure why Nonie has that in the recipe.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This recipe originally came from Papa, Will Greer, who was Nonie's dad. Nonie made this every Christmas day that I can remember. She liked her egg nog strong! When we have made her recipe, we don't use quite as much bourbon as she did. I believe when she made her egg nog she usually used Wild Turkey.
