1 vanilla beans, cut in half and seeds scrapped
2 cups sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Place sugar in an airtight container. Stir in vanilla seeds. Bury the vanilla bean pieces two different places in the sugar. Store for at 2 to 3 weeks, mixing on occasion. Use the sugar in same measurements as regular granulated sugar.

Continue to add sugar, stirring after each addition, and additional beans used in other recipes.
