Masa para empanadas
3 cups all-purpose flour
teaspoon salt
6 oz unsalted butter (1 stick of butter = 4 oz) or lard

1 egg
cup to of water or milk adjust as needed to obtain a soft and smooth dough


Mix the flour and salt in a food processor,
Add the butter and pulse
Add the egg the water or milk and continue pulsing until a clumpy dough forms
To make the empanadas dough by hand follow the same instruction but use your hands to mix the ingredients together
Used immediately or store in the refrigeratort to use later.If you want your empanada have a nice golden finish brush them with egg
Bake the empanadas in a pre-heated oven 375 F- 400F for 20 - 25 minutes
