Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 3/4 cup sugar
1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature
3 large eggs
1/4 tsp vanilla
3 Tbs all purpose flour
pinch of salt
1 cup buttermilk
1 9" unbaked pie crust

Directions:
Directions:
1) Cream together the sugar and butter until well blended. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until the mixture is nice and smooth. Add in the vanilla, salt and flour. Beat in the buttermilk until well combined.

2) Place the pie shell on a baking sheet lined with foil (catches any overflow). Fill the pie shell with the buttermilk mixture, just to the top of the shell. Pour any remaining into an ungreased custard cup. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and let set until almost cooled before serving. Store covered in the fridge.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This pie created a precious memory last Thanksgiving when Callie asked me if we could make pies together!!! It was delicious and we had so much fun doing it. I'm not good at pie crust but we tried that too! I suggested that in the future we just buy the crust! LOL
