Personal Notes:
I was a notoriously poor sleeper from as early as anyone can remember. I still am. When Brianne and I were old enough to be left with relatives for a night so our parents could have a little break, our aunts and uncles were shocked by my ability to stay up around the clock, except when we stayed with Nana and Pop Pop. Nana always reported that we were perfect angels and went right to sleep. It took a few years before anyone figured out why. It was this recipe. She probably didn’t include two full shots, but who knows. Dad says Kate had her own version of this, with brandy, that she used to give him when he was a child.. - Megan
