1 cup sugar
1 cup butter
3 eggs (beaten separately)
1 teaspoon lemon extract
1 cup honey
1/2 cup cold coffee
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup walnuts (optional)
4 1/2 cups flour
1 pound gumdrops (do not use black ones)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and butter together. Add egg yolks, lemon extract and honey. Add coffee alternately with dry ingredients.
Quarter and flour gumdrops; fold gumdrops into cake batter. Lastly add egg whites. Pour batter into 2 greased and floured loaf pans. Bake at 275 for 2 hours.
