Topping
3/4 almonds or pecans. 1 tbsp. Cocoa. 1/2 cup brown sugar.
6 oz. choc chips. 2 tsp. Cinnamon

Process above excluding choc chips till chopped fine

Batter
6 tbsp. Butter or margarine. 1 cup sugar. 2 eggs. 1 tsp. Vanilla

1 tsp. Baking Soda. 1 cup sour cream (mix these 2 ingredients .and let expand)

1 1/3 cups flour. 1 1/2 tsp baking powder

Add sour cream and baking soda mixture to butter,sugar, vanilla, egg mixture
Add flour and baking powder and stir just till flour disappears

Pour 1/2 mixture into greased and floured Bundt pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 topping. Repeat with remaining mixtures.

Bake at 350 F for 40 to 45 minutes until cake tests done.

This recipe came from Auntie Jean, my mother in law’s best friend. She was an amazing person, friend, cook and baker. This was my first attempt at baking when I got married at 18. I loved her cake and she said that it was simple to make and so I tried and it was a success! Yay! It was always a staple in our house and so delish with a cup of coffee.
For each of my 4 children’s birthday, I would bake the cake they wanted. Carey always asked for this one...... I
I have seen it in books but none say put the baking soda into the sour cream to expand to double the amount. That is how I make it. You can also use yoghurt and margarine instead of butter. Enjoy!❤️💃🏽🍓
