5 quarts popped corn
2 c. white sugar
1 c. water
⅓ tsp. salt
c. light corn syrup
1 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, salt, water and corn syrup in saucepan to hard ball stage of 265. Add vinegar and vanilla and cook to 270 (light crack stage). Slowly pour over popped corn in a large kettle or pan. Stir well to coat every kernel. Press into balls. If balls are too sticky, grease hands with a little butter. Makes about 20 popcorn balls.
