1 lb streaky bacon
2 cans sliced water chestnuts, or 4 cans whole
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar

Directions:
Cut Bacon in thirds. Drain chestnuts. Wrap a bacon strip around each water chestnut and poke through with a flat toothpick.

Place each wrapped chestnut on broiler pan (or cookie sheet with rack) Broil until bacon is crisp... may need to turn part way through.

Mix soy sauce and brown sugar together in bowl. Place each one in the sauce to marinate for a few minutes OR you can let these babies sit in slow cooker on low. Serve hot!

Personal Notes:
These are a huge hit at get-togethers, but you might need to double or triple recipe! I make mine ahead of time with sliced water chestnuts. Then let them sit in slow cooker with sauce for full flavor. I also serve from slow cooker, so they stay warm. Deliciously yummy!
