1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
3/4 cup shortening
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 pkg. (6 oz) chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º F. Beat peanut butter, shortening, sugars, egg and vanilla until creamy. Stir together flour, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture and blend well. Fold in chocolate chips. Scoop 2 - inches apart onto baking sheet. Bake 10-15 minutes.
