Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
2/3 cups butter, softened
1/3 cup sugar
2 eggs separated
1 teaspoon vanilla
teaspoon salt
1 cups flour
cups chopped nuts
Strawberry preserves ( I like raspberry preserves also)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy
Add egg yolks, vanilla and salt
Beat well gradually add flour shape into inch balls dip in beaten egg whites and roll in nuts
Press down center of each cookie place a scant teaspoon of preserves to fill indent.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 10 minutes.
