cup butter
cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup flour
1 tsp cinnamon
tsp nutmeg
tsp cloves
1 Tbsp milk
⅓ cup orange juice
1 lb pecan halves
1 lb candied cherries (red & green)
lb candied pineapple

try adding 1 tsp baking soda

Cream butter and sugar together.
Add eggs. Mix well
Add sifted flour and spices.
Add milk and orange juice. Mix well
Add nuts and fruit. Leave cherries whole.
Drop by teaspoons full on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 300 to 325 for 20 to 25 minutes.

Make sure rack is above the middle of oven.
