1 cup shortening
2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
2¼ cups sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1½ cups M&M's (I use more)
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt

Mix all ingredients together except M&M's. Once mixed add in M&M's. Bake at 350º until golden in color.
