5 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 tbls. baking powder
6 eggs
1 bottle anise
2 tsp. vanilla
1/3 cup milk
2 sticks melted butter
1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Lightly grease cookie sheets. Mix all of the above ingredients in a bowl. Flour your kitchen counter top and your fingers, the dough should be very sticky. Form the dough in 3 logs. The logs should be about 2" wide - depending on the size of the biscotti you want. The dough spreads. Place a log on the cookie sheet. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and let cook thoroughly. While still warm slice on a diagonal. Lie each cookie on its side and put back in the oven for 15 more minutes. Remove from oven. Place on a cooling rack. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar. Place in a covered plastic container. They will last for quite some time.
