2¾ cups flour
1¼ tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1½ cups butter, softened
1½ cups firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
24 oz. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 cups chopped pecans (optional) I do not use them

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375ºF. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. In another bowl combine butter and brown sugar, beat until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until light and fluffy. Gradually blend in flour mixture. Stir in the morsels and pecans(if desired). Chill dough in refrigerator for a couple of hours.

Drop by well rounded tbsp. onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350%F for about 10 minutes.
