2 ½ cups- sifted all-purpose flour
½ tsp. - baking soda
¼ tsp. - salt
1 cup - softened butter
1 cup - sugar
1 each - egg
1 tsp. - vanilla extract
¼ tsp. - almond extract
2 tbsp. - milk
Colored sugar crystals (red/green for Christmas)

Directions:
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400º F.
- Sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
- Add in the four mixture and beat until smooth. Add in the milk and beat.
- Drop by teaspoonful - about 3 inches apart - onto greased baking sheets. Flatten with the bottom of a glass that has been dipped in colored sugar crystals.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on racks.

Makes approximately 5 dozen cookies.
