1 lb. chestnuts or one jar of peeled chestnuts
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. melted butter
1/4 c. heavy cream.

Directions:
Directions:
Wash chestnuts. Cut a long slit on both sides of shell. Bake at 500 for 15 minutes. Shell and skin chestnuts (or use jarred chestnuts). Place chestnuts in boiling salted water for 20 minutes. Drain and chop fine. Add remaining ingredients and toss. May serve as is or may place in pyrex pan with some broth and heat.
