Ingredients:  
c white sugar
c brown sugar
c shortening
c peanut butter
1 egg
1 tsp baking soda
1 tbsp hot water
1 c flour
tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Blend peanut butter and shortening. Dissolve baking soda in hot water.
Add remaining ingredients leaving baking soda and hot water mixture until last.
Roll into balls and place on cookie sheet, flatten with fork.
Bake at 375 for 10 to 20 minutes.
