½ cup Water
1 Tbsp Vanilla (use clear vanilla for white icing)
2 lbs Confectioner's Sugar (Powdered Sugar)
1 tsp Salt
1 ¼ cup Crisco (you can use butter flavored)

Beat all ingredients on high speed until fluffy. Add coloring as desired. Use more water or powdered sugar to get the consistency you are looking for.
