2 T butter
2 T flour
1 ½ cups milk
1 C shredded cheddar cheese if making cheese sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in medium sauce pan over medium heat, add flour, stir for about a minute, it will look like a paste. Slowly add milk while whisking or stirring until thickened. It will almost have to come to a boil. Add cheese, salt and pepper to taste.
Serve over vegetables. It will keep in fridge for a few days.

I usually mix this with cauliflower or broccoli, put some buttered crumbs on top and pop in 350 oven for 30 min. Steam broccoli or cauliflower for a few minutes first.
