1 3-4 lb. head cabbage, shredded
3 med. size onions, chopped finely
¾ c. sugar

Dressing:
1 tsp. dry mustard
1½ Tbsp. salt
1 Tbsp. celery seed
1 c. vinegar
1 c. salad oil

If desired:
chopped pepper
celery

Directions:
Directions:
Place cabbage and onions in layers in covered bowl.
Sprinkle sugar over this mixture.

Heat to boiling point: dry mustard, salt, celery seed, and vinegar.
Remove from burner. Add salad oil and reheat to boiling point.
Pour over cabbage and onions. Cover.

Stir occasionally and let sit 24 hours.
May add chopped pepper and celery.
Keeps well, can be frozen.
