Oven 350
Grease and flour bunt pan

2 c. All purpose flour
2t. Baking soda
2 t. Cinnamon
1/2 t. Salt
2 c. Sugar
1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. Butter
2 eggs
2 t. Vanilla
2 T. Water
4 c. Apples, peeled, cored, chopped
1 c. Chopped pecans or walnuts

Soak apples in liquor, just enough to coat
Sift flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt
In large bowl cream margarine, butter, sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time. Stir in vanilla and water.
Beat in flour mixture,then stir in apples and nuts

Bake for 40 minutes for 9X13 pan until toothpick comes out clean for both types of pans

1/2 c water
1/2 c. Bourbon or rum
1 c. Sugar
2 t. Flour
1/8 t. Salt
2 t. Vanilla
1/2 c. Butter

In small saucepan combine butter, water, and liquor. Bring to a boil. Mix together sugar, flour, salt.
Stir into sauce pan ingredients, Bring to a boil again and add vanilla. Let cool and pour over cake.
