tsp. salt
pound butter
1 heaping Tbsp. Crisco
3 cups sugar
3 cups plain flour
6 eggs
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 cup sweet milk
1 Tbsp. vanilla flavoring
1 Tbsp. lemon flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and Crisco. Add sugar, one cup at a time. Add eggs, one at a time. Add flavoring. Combine salt, baking soda, and flour. Sift together twice. Add flour and milk simultaneously, (approximately 1/2 cup flour to 1/4 cup milk) until finished. Cream butter/Crisco mixture with eggs on high speed. Combine ingredients on medium speed. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour pan liberally and pour mixture into a pound cake baking pan. Baking time: 1 hour and 15 minutes.
