5 lb peeled figs
3-3/4 lb sugar (use 3/4 cup sugar for each pound of peeled figs)
3-3/4 cups water (use 1 cup of water for each pound of sugar)

Directions:
Directions:
Bring sugar and water to a boil in a large pot, stirring until sugar dissolves. Let boil a few minutes. Add figs and cook about 2 hours until figs are done and syrup is at desired thickness. Seal in sterilized jars. Makes 5 - 6 pints.
