½ gallon jug of apple cider
2 cinnamon sticks
1-2 apples, chopped
Cinnamon liquor like Fireball or flavored whisky

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a pot and heat over the campfire until the apples are soft. Serve with a ladle. We usually buy a gallon of cider and keep adding more plus more liquor as the night goes on.

I started making this while camping in Wharton State Forest. It’s a great way to end the night. One of my best ever camping gear purchases is a huge Pyrex measuring cup, 8 cups, and it works great for this and cleans up good as new if you soak it in a cooler with water and vinegar for a few minutes.
