Teriyaki Salmon Recipe

4 Salmon Fillets or chicken pieces
Salt and Pepper
1 Tbsp oil
2 Tbsp Sesame Seeds
2 Tbsp Green Onions

Sauce:
2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
¼ cup Water
1 tsp Minced Garlic
1 tsp Minced Ginger
1 ½ Tbsp Brown Sugar
2 tsp Honey
½ tsp Sesame Oil
2 tsp Cornstarch (dissolved into a Tablespoon of water to dissolve)

Directions:
Directions:
Place soy sauce, water, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, honey, and sesame oil in a pan over medium high heat. Bring to a boil. Mix in the dissolved cornstarch. Stir until thick. Set aside. Season salmon with salt and pepper. Sear, skin side up in a hot, skillet with oil added for 5 minutes. Turn and cook for 5 more minutes or until done. Pour sauce over. Sprinkle on chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve with rice and vegetables.

Teriyaki Salmon bowls: On a large plate or in a large bowl layer rice; raw spinach; vegetable: cooked edamame, snow peas or snap peas; cooked salmon, shredded carrots, and sliced avocado. Drizzle sauce over everything. (A double recipe of sauce is recommended for this or water sauce down just a bit)

Bitty found the teriyaki recipe and I have used it to make my favorite salmon bowls. Penn State's hospital serves them for lunch all the time. This recipe makes them just as good! These are great to make ahead (keep the spinach and avocado separate) and heat up for lunch.
