1 1/2 c sugar
1/2 c butter, softened
2 large eggs
2 3/4 c flour
1/2 c shortening
2 t cream of tartar
1 t baking soda
1/4 t salt

Mixture: 1/4 c sugar
2 t cinnamon

Directions:
Mix 1 1/2 c sugar, butter, shortening and eggs. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Shape dough to form 1 1/4" balls. Mix 1/4 c sugar with cinnamon. Roll balls in mixture. Place 2" apart on cookie sheet. Bake 400º for 8-10 minutes or until set. Remove from pan and cool.
