Personal Notes:
I don't know where the recipe came from, but I remember Grandma Ida Red and her daughters and sometimes Aunt Sue and Mary all getting together to do this. It was a big event to make Haden Salad and then split up the bounty. My mom was so thoughtful that she used to keep it made up all the time because she knew dad and my husband, Steve loved it so much. He hasn't eaten it in about 16 years. I may have to start making this!
