Prepare Pickles

25 Each large cucumbers unpeeled sliced thin
1 Quart onions sliced thin
3 Green Peppers sliced thin
3 Red peppers sliced thin

Soak cucumber, onion and pepper slices in salted water overnight
 

Pickling Brine

Ingredients:  
1-1/2 Quarts white vinegar
2 cups sugar
1/4 Cup (4 oz) mustard seed
1 tsp turmeric seed
2 tsps salt


Directions:
Directions:
In the morning drain cucumber, onion and pepper slices.

Put vinegar, sugar, mustard seed, salt and turmeric in a large pot and bring to a boil.

Drop in cucumbers, onions and peppers. Boil for 15 minutes.

Add to canning jars and seal while hot.


NOTE: Sterilize canning jars and have new lids ready.
