Hawaiian Cake Recipe

1 - 18.5 oz. package butter recipe golden cake mix
1/2 cup margarine or butter
2/3 cup milk
3 eggs
1 - 11 oz. can mandarin oranges, drained and chopped
1 - 3.4 oz. package vanilla instant pudding mix
1 - 20 oz. can crushed pineapple in heavy syrup, undrained.
3 cups frozen thawed whipped topping or 2 cups whipping cream, whipped

Pre heat oven to 325

Combine first four ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
Beat at low speed of electric mixer until blended.
Beat at medium speed 3 minutes.
Stir in oranges.
Pour into 3 greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans.

Bake for 25 - 30 minutes or until a tooth pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool in pans 10 minutes; remove from pans and cool completly on wire racks.

Combine pudding mix and pineapple in a large bowl; mix well, chill
Fold in whipped topping or whipped cream.
Spread frosting between layers and on top and sides of cake.
Refrigerate immediately and store in refrigerator after cutting.
