1/2 c butter
1 c sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cloves
1/4 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 cup thick jam
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1/2 c sour milk
1 tsp soda

Directions:
Directions:
cream butter and sugar
add rest of ingredients and beat 2 min
pour into loaf pan lined with wax paper or bake in layers
bake in 350 degree oven for 45 min
frost with white icing
add nuts between the layers
