Whole Wheat Bread Recipe

3 cups water
⅔ cup shortening
cup honey
1 can, approximately 3 oz. applesauce (2 scant cups)
1 tablespoon salt
2 tablespoons yeast
5-5 cups whole wheat flour
4 cups white flour

Heat water, add first 4 ingredients.
Stir yeast into whole wheat flour.
Mix cooled liquid into flour/yeast and add white flour.
Knead 10 minutes.
Let rise 1 hours.
Form loaves.
Let rise 45 minutes.
Bake at 325 for 1 hour.
