1 (whole) boneless chicken breast
3 tbsps butter
3 tbsps flour
1 pkg (7oz) italian cheese blend
1 can (14½ oz) diced tomatoes drained
1 lb ziti
2 cloves chopped garlic
2 cups of 2% milk
½ cup shredded parmesan
1 jar marinara sauce

cut chicken breasts into bite size pieces
saute in pan until cooked through
meanwhile- bring large pot of salted water to a boil, cook pasta and drain

heat oven to 425º melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat
add garlic and cook 1 minute
whisk flour and cook 1 minute
pour in milk, whisking ingredients together
bring to a simmer and cook 3 minutes
remove from heat and whisk in 1¼ cups of cheese and ¼ cup of parmesan

stir cheese sauce and tomatoes into pasta
fold in cooked chicken
pour into oven safe dish
top with marinara and remaining ½ cheese and ¼ cup of parmesan
place in oven until cheese is lightly browned.

*If making ahead of time, take out dish about an hour prior to cooking. Place in 375º oven for approximately 45-60 minutes until cheese is lightly brown.
