3/4c. shortening
1c. sugar
1/4c. molasses
1 egg
2c. flour
2tsp baking soda
1tsp cinnamon
1tsp ground clover
1tsp. ground ginger (NOT FRESH)

Directions:
Directions:
mix all dry ingredients together in bowl.
cream, shortening, and sugar together.
Add egg and molasses.
Add flour mixture to wet ingredients, combine well.
In seperate bowl or a plate add 1/4c. sugar
take dab of dough and roll into ball (should be about 1inch)
roll in sugar and place on cookie sheet.
Place about 2 inches apart

Bake in preheated 350 for 15 minutes
