2 cups butter
1 1/2 t. vanilla
1/2 t. salt
2 lbs. powdered sugar
Directions:

Put all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and add 1/2 cup hot water,
Mix for 5 minutes or longer at high speed.
If it seeems too stiff, use more hot water until it is the right consistency to spread.
Keep the extra frosting in the refrigerator

It stays fresh for a long time when it is covered well.
