2 cups flour
½ tsp. baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
½ cup milk
¼ cup oil (vegetable oil or melted Crisco)
1 cup molasses
1 tsp. ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients together into a mixing bowl.
Combine the beaten egg, milk, and oil.
Add mixture to the dry ingredients.
Stir in molasses.
Beat well.
Pour into a shallow pan and bake at 350º for 30 minutes.
For muffins, bake at 420º for 20 to 25 minutes.
Serve hot with applesauce.
