35 light colored caramels (I think Kraft are the best)
3 Tbsp. cream or evaporated milk (I use half n half)
1 cup flour
1 cup quick-cooking oatmeal
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 cup butter
3/4 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts (I use walnuts)

Directions:
Directions:
Melt caramels in cream about 2 minutes 30 seconds in the microwave, stirring after each minute. Cool slightly. Combine all remaining ingredients, except chips and nuts. Stir until crumbly and press half of crumbs in 7x11 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Sprinkle with chips and nuts. Cover (drizzle) with caramel mixture. Sprinkle with rest of crumbs. Bake 15 to 20 minutes until brown. Cool in pan. Refrigerate until cold. Remove from pan and cut into 24 pieces.
