10 lbs pork butt cut into thin long strips for skewering
2 bottles Mafran
1 cup soy sauce
1 cup sugar
1 head garlic(minced)
1 whole lemon
2 tbsp. salt or to taste
1/2 tsp. crushed pepper corn
1 bay leaf
1 pkg skewers
Bottle of 7-up or sprite
1/4 cup white vinegar

SAUCE FOR BASTING:
Collect drippings
1 bottle mafran ketchup
Salt ,sugar to taste( has to be like sweet and salty all at once)
Cornstarch added to water to thicken sauce

Directions:
1. Soak BBQ skewers overnight in water( this procedure prevents skewer from burning when grilling. )
2. cut pork into 2 inch long strips
3. Combine all ingredients to make a marinade
4. Add pork and marinade for 24-48 hrs. Add Sprite or 7 up just enough to soak meat
5. Shower pork pieces.
6. Drain marinade ,using only the liquid part
7. Cook drippings with mafran,sugar,salt and thicken with cornstarch /water mix when it starts to boil . Cook few more minutes till thicken . Brush onto skewered pork .
8. Grill to desired brownness.
