For pastry use proportion:
1 cup Mazola or Wesson Oil
cup plus 1 tablespoon hot water. Mix.
Sift together flour (about 2 cups)
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
teaspoon salt.
package of currants with lemon
Add to il and water, mix well. Add extra necessary flour for right consistancy.
Roll pastry about thick.
Put currants in cup water so all currans are wet. Strain. Add cup sugar and 2 teaspoons lemon juice. Mix well together. Place currents in center of pastry. Moisten edges and draw together over currants.
Roll out about thick. Brush top with milk and sprinkle a little sugar on top.
Bake at 400 degrees
