1 C butter, softened (two sticks)
1 ½ C granulated sugar
1 egg
1 ½ t vanilla extract
½ t almond extract
2 ¾ C flour
1 t salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
In a bowl, beat butter and sugar with electric mixer until well blended. Beat in egg and extracts; mix well. Combine flour and salt; add to butter mixture. Beat until well blended. Roll out on floured board to about ⅜ inch.
Cut with cookie cutters. Bake 9-11 minutes or until light brown on the edges. Remove from pan and cool completely on a rack.
Frost!

Use small cookie cutters to get 2 dozen. Kid size cookie cutters won’t make that many! I don’t let the edge brown. Cameron and I like butter cream frosting and colorful sprinkles or sugar.
