2 cups self-rising flour (if using all-purpose flour add ½ tsp salt
1⅓ cups sugar
4 tbsp cocoa
1 cup milk
4 tbsp Crisco oil or melted butter
2 tsp vanilla

1 cup brown sugar
3 tbsp cocoa (4 if you like more chocolate)

Bake at 325º
1. Mix dry ingredients together – add milk and oil (or butter) – mix until smooth – pour into 8 1/2 ½ “x 11” pan, set aside

2. Mix brown sugar and cocoa from second set of ingredients and sprinkle it on batter – then pour 1½ to 1¾ cups of
boiling water slowly over batter – bake for 45 minutes – this makes a pudding under the cake.
